In-sessional English Language Support for International and EU students

The EFL Unit at the University is pleased to announce the new session of English & Study Skills classes for International and EU students, visiting researchers and international staff beginning Monday 15 October for eight weeks. Places are available to attend English language and study skills classes in Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Pronunciation.

·        Classes last for 1½ hrs and run for 8 weeks, Mon–Thu, 5.15 – 6.45

·        Students can choose to attend two out of the three classes per week.

·        Speaking and Listening: practice in fluency and accuracy in everyday and academic English, and listening to English in a variety of situations and accents.	·        Mon, Weds or Thurs
·        Speaking & Pronunciation: strategies & practice for communicating clearly, focusing on common problem sounds, pronouncing new or unfamiliar vocabulary, and stress & intonation in conversation & presentations.	·        Tues
·        Writing: practice in common grammar & vocabulary points related to academic writing: sentence/paragraph development & linking, integrating sources within sentences, appropriate style etc.	·        Mon, Tues, Weds

Registration begins Monday 8^th October  at 10 am.

  

Cost: £4 administration charge per subject for full-fee paying international students or £80 per subject (for exchange / external students & staff)
