Mandarin Bilingual Technologist


Salary : Based on Experience
Duration: Initial period of 6 months

The Role
· Working with a small team based in Edinburgh, the applicant must hold a chemistry degree and requires a good knowledge of organic chemistry as it relates to resins in inks, coatings and plastics industries
· The applicant must be bilingual in both English and Mandarin
· You will have excellent organisational and communication skills
· The technologist will work closely with the Commercial Manager and business contacts in China to develop new products and support existing products as well as offering technical solutions to customers
· Experience working in the pigments and resins sector would be preferable.

Main Responsibilities
· To develop, in-house or in collaboration with others, new resins and varnishes
· To build up relationships with existing customers and partners
· To become familiar with existing range of products
· To promote the product ranges in the market place identifying, where possible, new technological and commercial opportunities
· To identify new technical trends
· To undertake any special specific projects required.
