Students from the University of Glasgow
are invited to the student-led Asia Investment Banking Conference (AIBC) 2012, on
6-7 September 2012, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong.
Initiated by students of the
London School of Economics, AIBC remains to date the largest student-run
conference in Asia focused on developments in
the Investment Banking business. The objectives are twofold:
- To promote a deeper understanding of the M&A and Corporate Finance Market in Asia among students and
- To facilitate a forum for senior professionals to share their views on the outlook of the market.
Since 2009, the Conference
has grown significantly, having successfully brought together more than 300
talented students from over 50 renowned universities across the world,
including Princeton University, Oxford
and HKU, and senior professionals representing various prominent organizations
in the financial services industry.
This year's AIBC aim to be
even bigger. Amongst the speakers who we have invited for this year's
Conference include:
- Osama S. Abbasi, CEO, Credit Suisse Asia Pacific
- David Douglas, Global Head of Equity Capital Markets, Standard Chartered
- Henry Chen, Partner, Co-Head of Asia, Permira
- Stephen Seelbach, Co-Head of Asia Pacific Financial Sponsors Group, Morgan Stanley
The highlights of the event
will include a cocktail reception by Credit Suisse and an IPO Challenge.
